Now that we are far into summer, it’s time to find ways to keep staying cool! July heat in DC is no joke… We all know what that means- outdoor happy hours, and lots of them. Here are our #FrayLife picks for the best spots to soak up some sunshine over an adult beverage in the Dupont/Adams Morgan Area!

Mission

Any restaurant that starts off its bottomless brunch with a tequila shot is a friend of ours, but Mission has some great weekday deals, too! Nothing pairs with springtime quite like a margarita and a patio and Mission does both quite well!

Margaritas every Monday: Glass $5.95, 1/2 Pitcher $15.95, Pitcher $29.95

Once warm weather hits, this cavernous restaurant throws open its shutters on the top floor for a dining experience with style. Don’t let the white table clothes fool you, they serve up some strong margarita deals that can kick start a great night!

This Dupont sushi spot serves $5 drinks and $7 specialty rolls for happy hour, and it has a generously large patio for you to enjoy the weather on as well. You can even sit outside in one of their stylish red chairs weekdays from 4-7 p.m. So if rolls and rails are your thing, go give them a try!

Front Page

Is this your almost weekend? Join us for $3 Corona and free tacos every Thursday! #summerready #dceats #happyhour

So, as if Front Page’s outdoor patio isn’t enough, FREE TACO THURSDAY is an event that can’t be missed. Combine three-dollar coronas with two free, chef-assembled, pulled pork tacos and you get something truly magical. This deal really won’t last though, as Front Page unfortunately will be closing their doors for good on August 11th, so get there while you can!

Brews on a roof. Simple, yet effective. Roofer’s extensive beer list makes sipping an afternoon away even more exciting. A bar with ‘roof’ in the name can’t get more dedicated to this springtime celebration. For their happy hour, they offer $3 local draft beers, $5 house wine, bubbles and rail spirits and $3-$6 snacks and spirits.

This Admo/Dupont spot serves up globally-inspired burgers and chicken sandwiches that are absolutely impossible to beat. Most importantly, with the warm weather, the patio service will be in full swing with $5 local drafts from 4-7 p.m. Grab a burger and a brew and get to sippin!

Sauf Haus is a massive hall above the Dupont Shake Shack that offers expansive sky views and an ambiance comparable to Oktoberfest itself. 4-7 p.m. means $2 off all beer and bavarian pretzels. Gather a big group and enjoy this true beer garden experience!

If you’re looking for something a little outside of the norm for your after-work adventures, hit up Red Bear Brewing Co. in NoMa for a rustic, outdoorsy aesthetic, and if trivia is your thing check our their trivia night every 1st, 2nd and 4th Monday!
