Profs and Pints Online presents “A History of American Dining,” or what we can learn from our nation’s past in a time of culinary crisis. Sunset Cinema at The Wharf: “Hidden Figures”
Every Thursday and Friday night through September 25, The Wharf will be screening a film on the Transit Pier in partnership with Cantina Bambina, DC Fray and Pacifico Beer. Cabana reservations are $10 per person and include a serving of popcorn and a Pacifico Beer. Grazie Grazie sandwiches, Union Pie, Lupo Marino pizza, drinks and more are all available for purchase during the movie. The cabanas have a $20 minimum per person, which includes the $10 reservation fee. All guests must be 21+. Shady Ladies Tours: Nasty Women of the National Portrait Gallery
This online tour, guided by Professor Andrew Lear, offers perspective on the history of powerful and ambitious women, and the resistance they have always encountered, through art. The tour explores National Portrait Gallery’s rich collection of portraits of great American women, from Harriet Beecher Stowe and Harriet Tubman to Sandra Day O’Connor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Michelle Obama.
