The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
World Stage Theater
The PARC at Tysons
“The Nomadic House” is a public art sculpture that evokes narratives of quarantine, climate crisis, conflict and displacement. Houses are at the crossroats of human experience: They can demonstrate both fragility and prosperity, and are part of both public and private life. Especially as the war in Ukraine continues, the meaning of home, homelessness and transience is being amplified. “The Nomadic House” aims to become a platform for dialogue, action, reaction and consideration of what it means to be a transnational citizen. As an evolving installation, the sculpture features blue and yellow clothing donated by the public. 40% of proceeds from the works for sale in the exhibition will go to organizations that support Ukrainians impacted by the war.
