The Cost of Living: An Observation of the Resilence, Resistance, and Joy of the Black Woman
About this event
“The Cost of Living: An Observation of the Resistance, Resilience, and Joy of the Black Woman” is on display at the Dupont Underground in the heart of Washington, DC.
This art show showcases 2D, 3D, audio and visual works by 15 Black female and femme artists. It will examine how elements of blackness persevere despite the systems that are in place to limit the prosperity of those communal spaces. This shared visual narrative illustrates their perspectives and shared experiences in the discussion of how survival is achieved despite the cost of living.
Attendees will be able to see the recently installed work, learn about our artists inspirations, techniques, processes, and more on Wednesday March 8th (free event), but the exhibition is running til March 26th. PLEASE CLICK ON LINK TO SEE PRICING.
Dupont Underground is located at 19 Dupont Circle Northwest Washington, DC, 20036.
