About This Event

You’ve welcomed us to your table, now we’d like to welcome you to ours…

Shababi Chicken was established in early 2021, as a modest carry-out operation, born of the need to share a meal that felt like home. With a sweeping answer to the call; ”Yalla, Shababi”,  we’ve shared our Shababi Chicken dinners with thousands of families throughout the DMV. Now, for the first time in two years, Shababi Chicken would like to welcome everyone to share a dine-in meal at “our table”.

The Shababi Chicken Pop-up will begin dinner service on Thursday, January 26 and run through Saturday, February 25.

Guests will be able to choose between a range of experiences.

  • $125 per person will include a choice between a Chicken or Plant Based Menu

  • $65 per person for alcoholic beverage experience

  • $24 per person for non-alcoholic beverage experience

The ticketed experience includes a set menu which consists of a family style set of [9] dishes. While the dishes are sent as a “flow of food” and can all be enjoyed simultaneously, the meal will be structured as [2] large course sets followed by [1] dessert. Each night, there will be [3] ala-carte specials available for purchase. Additional sides such as dips, sauces and bread will also be available for purchase.

The beverage programming will be focused on Palestinian spices, spirits and syrups. The alcoholic beverage experience will include [1] welcome beverage, [1] main course set beverage, and [1] dessert beverage. The non-alcoholic beverage experience will include, [1] welcome beverage,  [1] main course set beverage, and [1] dessert beverage. There will be an ala carte beverage menu that will feature additional cocktails, beer, wine by the glass/bottle, and other non-alcoholic drinks.

Following Shababi Chicken, Please Bring Chips will host a third residency with chef Christian Irabien at their headquarters, 1320.
