FishThePotomac Blue Catfish League
The Yards Marina
Full Season Entry: $600 (Includes all 6 weeks of guided fishing, professional captain, boat, fuel, high-end tackle, and bait).
About This Event
Trade the Kickball Field for the Open River.
This spring, elevate your weeknight routine with the Potomac Blue Catfish League—the only social sports league in DC where the “field” is the Potomac River, the gear is provided, and the post-game spot is a tackle shop bar.
How It Works: Forget buying gear or learning how to drive a boat. We provide 3 world-class boats, professional captains, fuel, tackle, and bait. You simply arrive at The Tackle Shop at 5:30 PM for the live “Boat Draw,” head out for two hours of competitive night fishing under the DC monuments, and return for the “Post-Fishing Unwind” to weigh your catch and grab a beer.
No Experience Required: Whether you are a seasoned angler or have never held a rod, this league is built for you. Our captains handle the navigation and rigging; you just handle the monsters.
The “Roster Spot” Hack: The full 6-week season is 600∗∗(which includes all guided charter fees).
Can′t commit to every week? Split a “Roster Spot”with a friend (300 each) and alternate weeks! It works out to $50 per guided trip—cheaper than your weekly bar tab. Probably.
Quick Hit Details:
• When: Tuesdays OR Thursdays (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
• The Target: Massive Blue Catfish (Heaviest 3 fish win).
• Capacity: Strictly limited to 12 Anglers per night.
• Vibe: Competitive fishing meets “Sponsor Bar” social.
Secure your spot now before the boat leaves without you.
Two Ways to Pay:
1. Pay in Full: $600 one-time fee.
2. Reserve Your Spot: $150 non-refundable deposit now; balance due 30 days prior to season start.
💡 The “Roster Spot” Hack: Can’t commit to every Tuesday? Split a spot with a friend ($300 each) and alternate weeks! That breaks down to just $50 per guided trip—cheaper than a standard night out in DC.
Note: Registration is strictly limited to 12 Anglers per night. Once the boats are full, the season is closed.
