Music lovers from all over the D.C. area came to Wolf Trap this Juneteenth weekend to enjoy a taste of New Orleans at Trombone Shorty’s Voodoo Threauxdown! Saturday’s line up was exceptional with the Soul Rebels kicking off the day’s festivities. Cyril Neville: The Uptown Ruler with George Porter Jr. & Dumpstaphunk took the stage next and stirred the crowd into a frenzy, priming everyone for Tank and the Bangas with Big Freedia. The air was electric when Trombone Shorty took the stage. It was a magical Mardi Gras themed evening of music that had people dancing until the last note. Photos by Nate Payne.
