Though some restrictions have been lifted, the food industry continues to hurt. Many of the District’s favorite restaurants have been forced to furlough employees or close their doors for good. Below is a list of some great food spots that need your help. Order takeout, dine in at establishments that have outdoor seating, donate to a GoFundMe or buy gift cards to use once this all dies down.

&pizza is not only continuing to pay its employees while locations are closed for the virus, but it is also offering free pizza to any hospital workers who show ID. If workers are unable to leave their respective posts, they can text &pizza at 200-03 #hero to obtain a unique code to get a pizza delivery. All other D.C. pizza lovers will be receiving free delivery while the pandemic continues. @andpizza

Across the Pond has your dinner plans covered with new taco, beer and margarita specials. Visit their website to stay up to date with their new hours and menus. Purchase a gift card to support the Across the Pond Staff. @acrosstheponddc

Agora is open daily from 12-9 p.m. for carryout and delivery, with 15 percent of all sales donated to the staff relief fund. Their patio and indoor seating is open with social distancing practices in place. Agora has also set up a donation site supporting charities and D.C. relief centers. @agoradc

Agua 301 is open for takeout and delivery from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Order online for pickup, or get delivery through UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub, Postmates or Caviar. Their patio and dining room have recently opened for reservation. @agua301dc

Albi is open Wednesday through Sunday for carryout, and has reservations for limited patio and indoor seating. Order some shawarma for lunch or a three course dinner through Tock or Toast. Support their staff by donating to their GoFundMe campaign, or by purchasing a gift card for yourself or a friend. @albiwashdc

Alero is now open for carryout and delivery, and offering a 10 percent discount on food orders. As of May 29, Alero re-opened dine-in services on a first come, first served basis. @alerorestaurant

American Ice Company isn’t letting the stay at home order keep us from our true loves, blue crabs and beer. Order by Thursday to get the goods delivered to your doorstep by the weekend. @americaniceco

American Son is open for pickup and delivery with a brand new menu packed with chef Tim Ma’s interpretation of Asian comfort food. They are also offering batch cocktails made by Allegory. @americansondc

Ben’s Chili Bowl, arguably the most recognizable food spot in the city, is open and donating meals to first responders. You can help them in their mission by buying a gift card or donating to Ben’s Chili Bowl Foundation. Don’t forget to order a half smoke for yourself while you’re at it. @benseverything

Beefsteak is open at its Dupont location for pickup and delivery of select menu items, as well as grocery and household items that may be scarce in stores currently. Their Foggy Bottom location will reopen July 6. @beefsteakveggies

Big Buns Damn Good Burger Co. has curbside pickup and delivery through UberEats and DoorDash. Order a gift card to support the business as the ramifications of the shutdown continue. And now, order a burgerscription which comes with Damn Good Burger Kits and exclusive craft beer. Follow them on social and sign up for email updates for changing specials available when you pick up or order from them. @damngoodburgers

Brookland’s Finest has opened for take-out and delivery! Order your food and booze online and enjoy Brookland’s Finest from home. Continue donating to their worker relief fund to help as they re-open. With Phase Two underway, Brookland’s Finest has decided to open their patio with social distancing and mask requirements in place.  Parties must be 2-5 people. @brooklands_finest

Bullfrog Bagels is now offering grab and go window service at both their H Street and 7th Street locations. Order online for next day delivery. @bullfrogbagels

Cactus Cantina is still serving great margaritas, now to-go! Use their website to order your beverage of choice along with a food order, and get it safely delivered with Doordash. @cactuscantina

Captain Cookie has new bake-at-home cookie kits so you can enjoy their famous goods fresh out of the oven at home! They are also still offering delivery and pickup at both of their brick and mortar locations. If you miss seeing the Captain Cookie food truck, email [email protected] to bring your neighborhood happiness in a cookie. @captaincookiedc

Chez Billy Sud is now taking reservations for their outdoor patio, open every Thursday to Sunday 4-9 p.m. Takeout orders are still available 12-8 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday. Chiko is offering pickup and delivery of their Chinese and Korean fusion food. They are also selling items from their vendors to fill your pantry, such as their house salt, Ivy City Smokehouse salmon and Jurgielewicz’s Tasty Duck Kit. Order online from their Capitol Hill or Dupont location. @chikofrc

DC Pizza is still serving you fresh, hot pizza for carryout and delivery. @dcpizzaonline

District Doughnut has reopened all locations, and will deliver all over the DMV. District Doughnut encourages patrons to make “dough-nations” to organizations that have been at the front line of this pandemic. @dcdoughnut

Duke’s Grocery + Duke’s Counter is trying to stay afloat in these uncertain times by offering take out and delivery, but they are still hurting. With 150+ employees to pay, having to close their dining rooms has stung. Only their Foggy Bottom location is open for reservations. In order to offset any loss of wages to their workers, Duke’s has set up a GoFundMe where all proceeds are given directly to employees. @dukesgrocery

Don Juan Restaurant’s whole menu is up for carry out or delivery. Use postmates or call directly and now serving coronaritas to go.

Echo Park and Andy’s Pizza are now offering takeout and delivery on their renowned pizza, wings, beer and wine. Call (202) 506-2043 to order. @echoparkdc

El Chucho not only has a take away and delivery menu full of appetizers, enchiladas, tacos, burritos and alcohol, but is also offering grocery boxes to-go. Go to their website to place an order. Or, enjoy a fresh margarita on their rooftop. Reservations required. @elchuchodc

El Techo is delivering their signature tacos and cocktails to the homes of Washingtonians. Cocktails and tacos can also be ordered à la carte, check out their menu for a full list. Call 202-836-4270 for delivery or pickup. Reserve a spot on their rooftop for dinner and a view. @eltechodc

El Rey invites patrons to start their own happy hour at home with their delivery. Instead of going through a third-party delivery service, all deliveries are made by El Rey employees. All tips go to displaced staff. Order by calling (202) 506-6418, and check out their website to peruse the menu. Get your name on the wait list for a seat in their Margarita Garden. @elrey_dc

Emilie’s has announced their new seasonal carryout menu as well as their community marketplace. Get great Asian-inspired food to go such as a General Tso’s Banh Mi, or a classic American lunch like the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. If your pantry is low, grab local produce from the expanded marketplace. @emiliesdc

Emissary has is offering contact-free pickup and delivery options. Order online for Emissary at home. You can now enjoy eating on their patio as well. @emissary_dc

Equinox has opened its patio and covered garden room to patrons for brunch, lunch and dinner. You can still purchase gift cards to help the restaurant as it adjusts to a smaller crowd size, or make a donation to their GoFundMe. There are also still delivery and take-out options for those who prefer to dine away from others. @equinoxdc

Espita is offering take-out, delivery on caviar and, most importantly, are delivering alcohol as well! If possible, consider picking up your food as Caviar takes a large percentage of their revenue. Espita’s updated hours are Monday through Friday, 3-8:30 p.m., weekends 12-8:30 p.m. Their patio is now open to limited numbers, make a reservation online to dine out. @espitadc

Fat Pete’s BBQ is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for takeout. Order online through ChowNow for 10% off of your food order, or call (202) 362-7777. @fatpetesbbqofficial

Fiola Mare now offers a selection of dinner tasting menus, a la carte options, fresh homemade pasta kits, home pantry essentials and craft cocktail kits to order for no-contact delivery or pickup. Consider purchasing a gift card or donating to their employee relief fund. Book a table for their indoor and outdoor dining options. @fiolamare

Firehook Bakery has re-opened for curbside pickup and delivery at their Dupont location. Order 48 hours in advance. @firehooklocal

Glen’s Garden Market remains open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with limited capacity and face masks required. To support those unable to shop inside, they’ve expanded to include curbside pickup and delivery for safety and convenience. They also share shopping patterns from previous weeks so customers can plan ahead, avoid crowds, and the like. To support the Market’s staff, Uber and Lyft fares are paid by the company to keep employees safe too. @glensgardenmkt

Gogi Yogi is bringing the comfort of Korean barbecue to your home with their takeout and delivery menus. Don’t forget to add the half-off beer, wine and soju to your order! Gogi Yogi is also selling gift cards. Check Resy to see if there are any open reservations for patio seating. @gogiyogi.bbq

Gravitas still offers delivery and pickup, allowing you to  have a Michelin star meal while staying healthy in your home. Hank’s Oyster Bar is selling gift cards and T-shirts to support restaurant employees and their families. They also have a GoFundMe page for their employee relief effort. All three locations will be offering dine in, takeout and delivery with social distancing regulations in place. @hanksoysterbar

Kelly’s Irish Times has updated their food menu for take out orders through Grubhub and UberEats or via pick up. They also have a new menu for carry out beer and liquor! Kelly’s has also set up a relief fund for their workers. Updated hours are Monday-Friday from 12-8 p.m., with limited indoor and outdoor seating. @kellysirishtimes

La Tomate is open for pickup and delivery, accepting orders every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 5-9 p.m. Their patio has reopened. @latomatedc

Lapis now offers curbside pickup from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., order online. Make a reservation for restaurant seating. @lapisdc

Lauriol Plaza is offering great food, wine, margaritas and mojitos available for pickup from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Order online or call (202) 387 0035. Book a table to eat at the restaurant. @lauriolplaza

Little Miner Taco is offering free kids meals while D.C. Public Schools and Maryland public schools remain closed to alleviate food insecurity. @littleminertaco

Medium Rare is now open for carry out and delivery. Support their effort to bring senior citizens in the area fresh, hot meals by donating to their GoFundMe. @mediumraredc

Mighty Meals has lowered delivery costs all order under $130 to $7.99, and any order over $130 are free. They have also launched the Mighty Movement, an initiative to help local restaurants and gyms as well as donate meals to those in need. Purchase gift cards towards meals being donated to the community, or directly donate to the GoFundMe campaign aiming to feed hospital staff. @eatmightymeals

Mikko Nordic Fine Foods is offering ready-to-eat meals you can have delivered to your door at low cost. These meals are good to save for up to a week, so stock up and stay in. Nellie’s Sports Bar, popular for its drag brunches, has left their kitchen open to provide you with food to order via UberEats and Postmates. They have also listed on Facebook the Venmo accounts of their drag queens so loyal customers can send them tips. To enjoy their rooftop, make a reservation. @nelliessportsbar

Nina May is introducing FEAST, a locally sourced pre-made meal delivery service. Each FEAST box includes two nights of a three course meal for two people with heating  and plating instructions. Nina May is still offering its locally sourced menu for takeout and pickup, and has now opened its patio and dining room for reservations. @feastdc; @ninamay_dc

Officina is selling provisions and pasta kits with their new weekly meal delivery service. Book a table to enjoy this authentic Italian onsite. @officinadc

Open Road is offering online ordering in addition to limited indoor and outdoor seating. @openroadgrill

Ridgewells Catering is offering a new menu, portioned for four to six people that are easy to reheat. Pickup your food or request no-contact delivery for tacos or short ribs and wine and beer. Call 301-652-1515 or email [email protected] 24 hours in advance. @ridgewellsdc

Rito Loco is offering delivery of their signature tacos and toasted ‘ritos as well as new entrees including the Carne Asada Platter served with house-made tortillas, rice and beans and Chile Relleno stuffed with smoked brisket. Delivery is available through Uber Eats, Caviar and GrubHub. @ritoloco

Salt and Sundry is still closed to in-person shopping, but their online shop will remain open. Peruse their wares and support them by purchasing a gift card to use later. @saltandsundry

Shilling Canning Company is offering free delivery or pickup to nearby residents in The Bower, Arris, The Guild, Foundry Lofts and Twelve12. Their doors have reopened for indoor and outdoor dining. @shillingcanningcompany

Slash Run is delivering their robust and comforting menu – plus wide alcohol selection – through call ahead and UberEats. Book patio seating by calling (202)838-9929. @slashrundc 

Sonny’s Pizza is offering takeout and delivery on menu items, as well as grocery items such as produce, flour, yeast, hand sanitizer and more. They’re also selling new cocktail kits to make their signature No Kisses cocktails at home alongside the endless wine, beer and spirits list. Orders over $125 get a complimentary bottle of wine! As if all that isn’t enough, Sonny’s is also launching virtual classes about wine and baking. If you’re feeling extra generous, donate to their staff relief fund or purchase a gift card. @sonnyspizzadc

Sorellina has a new contact-free delivery and pickup menu. Order online to have organic, local handmade food on your table. @sorellinadc

Stable is offering carry out Thursday and Friday from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. The take out menu includes many of their Swiss menu favorites and at-home fondue and raclette packages (available with Stable’s equipment for a refundable $75 deposit and $5 shots of Kirsch). Two hours advanced notice is requested for all raclette orders. Beer, wine and cocktails are available for 25% off, and brunch options are available on Saturdays. Sweetgreen is now offering free delivery to your home. Stay healthy by avoiding standing in line for food and eat some healthy greens. @sweetgreem

Timber Pizza has reopened with updated hours, and offers online ordering. To help the company continue to pay employees during this down time, consider purchasing a $10 gift certificate to use when everything is back to normal. Masks are required when picking up your pizza. @timberpizzacompany

Uzu Ramen is continuing to offer its full menu on UberEats from 12-6 p.m. Shoyu and miso at-home ramen kits will be sold at Hana Market, or you can DM their Instagram page to have the kits delivered at no extra cost. Gift cards are available to buy for future in-store purchases. @uzu9dc
