Get Ready to Spring into Action: Over 100 New Sports Leagues Coming to the DMV!

While many residents have been hiding inside from the cold it is almost time to get back outside and play once the warm weather hits! The DC Sports staff has you covered as they are launching over 100 new sports leagues this spring covering the entire DMV area.

With a variety of sports spanning from Basketball, soccer, volleyball, cornhole and so much more along with various sizing options there is sure to be something enjoyable for everyone. There are also LGBTQ+ community leagues open in order to create a safe environment for everyone to play!

Mitchell Kenigsberg is a member of the DC Fray sports staff and says that while the new leagues have launched there are still a few more surprises headed your way.

“New opportunities; bringing back old partners and old venues. So if people liked some of those places they will see them again,” said Kenigsberg.

Everyone is welcome to play as long as you register, sign the waivers and submit registration fees. Whether you are a single player, have a few friends joining, or already have an entire team set up, the new mobile app makes registering for a league simple and convenient.

Within the app, there is a link that redirects you straight to the registration page. Once registered you have access to scores, rule pages, player chat features and notifications to keep you updated on the game schedule.

It’s also easy to toggle between teams if you play within multiple leagues and plan ahead by seeing when each game is scheduled.

Some players take off during the cold months, making it hard to commit to winter leagues but soon it will be time to get back on the field and reunite with teammates and friends.

Kenigsberg and the rest of the team are excited to get back outdoors and know that everyone else is too.

“We’re ready and we hope everyone else is ready to have some fun and get back out there,” Kenigsberg said.

So what are you waiting for? Pick your league and signup at www.dcfray.com/leagues today – opening Tuesday, February 20th.
