What Pride means to you
As a queer person who’s Black and Filipino American, Pride means being all that you are all the time, and regularly affirming and reminding yourself you are more than enough and that you belong in a world that tries to tell us otherwise.
Supporting the LGBTQ+ community
Just know you don’t have to go far to support LGBTQ+ individuals because many of us hold intersectional identities. Whatever communities you are part of, we’re there and could use your support to be all of us all the time.
Your identity-affirming song
“That’s What I Want” by Lil Nas X, just to see and hear him unapologetically sing about what he wants. It’s affirming to see more folx living at some of the intersections I do who are taking up space in a world that’s literally trying to hurt and kill us.
