Cactus Cantina

Cactus Cantina
Founded in December 1990 by Raul Sanchez and Luis Reyes, Cactus Cantina is a fun, engaging, casual, family-friendly restaurant serving the best Tex-Mex specialties in the Washington area. Cactus Cantina resembles a true, authentic Tex-Mex cantina with capacity to host over 300 guests. Primarily known for their Tex-Mex menu, the restaurant also serves up Cuban, Spanish and South American dishes. Decked out with sombreros, cowboy boots and horse saddles, this local watering hole will transport you away from the bustling streets of DC into a western pueblo of your own. 3300 Wisconsin Ave. NW, DC; 202-686-7222; www.cactuscantina.com

Cantina Marina

Cantina Marina
Looking to take a vacation for an hour or two? Then head down to DC’s Southwest Waterfront where you’ll find Cantina Marina. Situated over the water, Cantina Marina offers outdoor seating for over 200 with the best views in Washington and the daily feature – the best sunset in town. Cantina Marina serves Gulf Coast/Cajun cuisine including pickled shrimp, fish and shrimp tacos, and great gumbo. The patio is a party every night starting with Doggie Happy Hour on Mondays, Tecate Tuesdays and Corona Night on Wednesdays. It’s a short walk from Nationals Park and the perfect pre and post-game spot. Bring in your ticket after the game for a free Corona. The kitchen is open late after Nats home games. 600 Water St. SW, DC; 202-554-8396; www.cantinamarina.com

The Commodore

The Commodore Public House & Kitchen
With quite the selection of craft cocktails, beer, amazing food (the burgers alone are to die for) and its renovated wooden patio,  the Commodore (formerly Veranda) and its owners had decided it was time for a refreshed 2017 concept with competitive price points. Move over cheesy Bar Rescue guys because the results from Director of Ops Wes and Executive Chef Travis (also of Rebellion DC) are amazing.  Decked in a new blue hue, the restaurant sports amazing dishes that change weekly. The 60-seat “beer garden” themed rustic patio hosts various food inspired events from cooking contest, pig roasts and crawfish boils, and is the perfect spot for a libation in the sun. Come see what all the fuss is about. 1100 P St. NW, DC; 202-234-6870; www.thecommodoredc.com

Front Page

The Front Page
Located in Dupont Circle, just steps from the Dupont Metro stop, The Front Page has two bars, a lively dining room and a large patio. The patio is open for lunch, dinner, Happy Hour and late night! Join us EVERY Thursday night from 5pm-close for $2 Corona and Corona Light and FREE Tacos 6-8 p.m.! #Frontpagedc @dcfrontpage. 1333 New Hampshire Ave. NW, DC; 202-296-6500; www.frontpagedc.com

Gordon Biersch DC

Gordon Biersch
Gordon Biersch features hand-crafted beer, wine and specialty cocktails. Purity, precision and perfection are the hallmarks of the premium German style biers. Crafted to the exacting standards of the Reinheitsgebot – or German Purity Law – they use only the highest quality Weyermann Malt from Bamberg, authentic Bavarian Hersbrucker hops, and pure, filtered water to develop a range of well-balanced flavors for every discerning taste. Located just blocks away from Nationals Park in the Navy Yard, enjoy the outdoor patio while sipping on house-brewed beer and sampling delightful dishes from their expansive menu. 100 M St. SE, DC; 202-484-2739; www.gordonbiersch.com
