The Nomadic House at The PARC
The PARC at Tysons
More detailsAbout This Event
“The Nomadic House” is a public art sculpture that evokes narratives of quarantine, climate crisis, conflict and displacement. The display at The PARC closes July 20, so today’s your last chance to see it! Houses sit at the crossroats of human experience: They can demonstrate both fragility and prosperity, and are part of both public and private life. Especially as the war in Ukraine continues, the meaning of home, homelessness and transience is being amplified. “The Nomadic House” aims to become a platform for dialogue, action, reaction and consideration of what it means to be a transnational citizen. The evolving installation features blue and yellow clothing donated by the public. 40% of proceeds from the works for sale in the exhibition will go to organizations that support Ukrainians impacted by the war.
