Immigrant Food+: Language & Food Global Dinner
925 13th St NW
Planet Word
About This Event
Immigrant Food+ and Planet Word partner to present an intimate dinner with special guest Stanford Professor Dan Jurafsky, the author of The Language of Food. The dinner will take you on a journey that explores the roots of seafood’s connections to global cuisines. Like people, foods are migrants, too. You will learn — and taste — the connections between Peru’s ceviche, Japan’s tempura and Britain’s fish and chips!
In this 24-seat, private experience, Professor Jurafsky’s unique style will entertain and educate diners about the incredible story of food’s global journeys, while Immigrant Food’s chef, Mile Montezuma, presents a specially curated, four-course menu with unique wine pairings.
