Activities & Open Festival Space

Franklin Park becomes a playground for movement, creativity and connection with giant chess, Jenga and Uno, Double Dutch, an open dance floor, video games, a podcast station, an African drum circle, family friendly play areas and expansive green space to picnic and relax. Bring a blanket. Bring a lawn chair. Make the park your own.

Japanese Cultural Experiences

In honor of Cherry Blossom season, explore interactive activities inspired by Japanese arts and culture including hands on origami workshops, Japan focused LEGO builds featuring bonsai trees and cherry blossoms, live mural painting by Japanese artists, a haiku writing station and interactive Japanese lawn games. Create, write, build and engage in experiences designed for all ages.

Vendor Pavilion

Food, clothes, vinyl records and much more will be available in a special area just to the side of the park.

More Free Experiences

Throughout the park you will also find a cherry blossom inspired mocktails station, caricature drawings, face painting, flower crown creation, a bubble artist and more. After visiting the iconic cherry blossom views around the city, continue the celebration downtown with one of the most vibrant and music filled stops of the festival.
