Hi-Lawn, the sprawling pandemic-born rooftop bar atop Union Market, is celebrating Halloween with a ‘90s Prom’ themed party on Saturday, October 30 from 6pm to midnight. The picturesque open-air rooftop will host live music from 90s cover band Uncle Jesse, a glow-in-the-dark DJ party, festive food and drink specials such as $6.66 hot spiked cider and grilled ghost dogs, and a ‘prom royalty’ costume contest with prizes. DC’s 90s cover band Uncle Jesse will be performing top throwback hits from 6-9pm, and then DJ Free Candy will spin tunes for a glow-in-the-dark afterparty from 9pm-midnight. Spooky food and drink specials include $6.66 Spiked Hot Cider Cocktails, $6 Grilled Ghost Dogs, $5 Soft Pretzels and surprise treat giveaways throughout the night. Hi-Lawn’s regular food and drink menu will be available as well. Costumes are encouraged, as there will be a “Prom Royalty” costume contest (guests can enter by posting a photo of their costumes on Instagram and tagging @hilawndc to enter) with prizes such as a $100 Hi-Lawn gift card.
