About This Event

The Thrill is Back! The 27th Tinner Hill Music Festival will have Northern Virginia rocking with sizzling music and reveling in fun festivities. It all takes place on Saturday, August 21, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, in Cherry Hill Park in the heart of The City of Falls Church.

The festival committee, under the leadership of Tori McKinney, is delighted to announce a lineup of dynamic musical performers for a thrilling day-long concert:

  • BB King Blues Band featuring Michael Lee of “The Voice”
  • Bonerama
  • The Legendary Wailers featuring Julian “Junior” Marvin
  • Vintage #18
  • Twin Brothers Band
  • Eric Scott
  • East of The River Steelband
  • Rocknoceros

    An enticing array of activities and vendors will be found throughout the park. The Artist Village will showcase painters, photographers, and jewelers. Family fun is assured in The Kids’ Village with water play, a musical petting zoo, face painting, and more. Succulent barbecue and other tasty fare, including kid-friendly and vegetarian options will be available in The Food Village And The ROCK STAR Bar will offer craft beer, wine and other adult libations.

    The 27th Tinner Hill Music Festival celebrates and honors the African American music legacy. The festival is sponsored by The City of Falls Church and the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1997 to research, preserve and celebrate the early civil rights history of Northern Virginia. In addition to its music festival, the Foundation sponsors informative programs as well as community events that resurrect the rich and vibrant past of the African American communities of Falls Church and Northern Virginia.
