2022 Festival @ Eaton DC
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29TH @ Eaton DC
The annual Well-Read Black Girl literary festival unites avid readers and writers for two days of storytelling, community building, and groundbreaking conversation. This October we’ll gather to discuss the power of rest as resistance. Our opening keynote speaker Tricia Hersey, aka The Nap Bishop, will encourage us to connect to the liberating power of rest, daydreaming, and naps as a foundation for healing.
Her debut book, Rest Is Resistance, is a manifesto for all of us who are sleep deprived, searching for justice, and longing to be liberated from the oppressive grip of Grind Culture.
Attend in person or virtually. Together we will celebrate creative expression, and share an array of literary experiences from writers across genres.
Ticket includes:
- Focused panels with emerging authors, wellness practitioners, and literary luminaries
- Networking opportunities with publishing insiders
- Exclusive WRBG tote with book-ish goodies from partners and friends
- Closing night cocktails
Opening Keynote: Tricia Hersey
Closing Keynote: Bevy Smith
