The Wells Fargo Championship, established in 2003, is coming to TPC Potomac May 4-8, 2022!

As a city that lives through all four seasons, springtime in D.C. is quite special. The weather changes, the cherry blossoms bloom, and our habits start to as well. Weekends mean being outside, certainly, but there’s always the age-old back-and-forth of where exactly. 

This May, at least for five days, the answer is a whole lot easier. The PGA Tour, for the first time in four years, is making its way back to the region for the Wells Fargo Championship. The event, which ushers in some of the best players in the world, is at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm from May 4-8. Experience the best golfers in the world compete for a PGA TOUR victory at one of the best courses in the area.  With miles of front-row seats, you will remember your unique experience forever.

The tournament is operated by Champions for Education, a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation. The Wells Fargo Championship serves as the principal fundraiser for the organization’s efforts to support local and regional charitable organizations. To date, Champions for Education has donated over $25 million dollars to charitable foundations in Charlotte and Wilmington (site of the 2017 tournament), and will continue this tradition by sharing donations to local D.C.-area charities following the 2022 tournament.
