Alethia Tanner Park
Join Potomac Riverkeeper Network (PRKN) in their mission to support a Trash-Free Potomac!
They provide gloves, bags and grabbers/trash pickers.
You bring your enthusiasm for outdoor activities and good causes!
You are welcome to bring your kayak, boat, or paddle board. There is a $6 launch fee per vessel.
Boat rentals are available at Belle Haven Marina, but if you are not a paddler you still can reach the shore from the trail along the river.
**Due to protected shorebird nesting season, on the water capacity in the National Park land surrounding Belle Haven Marina is limited to 3 vessels at a time so we will be sending out paddling volunteers in shifts, but there will be plenty of opportunities along the trails throughout the marsh as well to do your part, pick up trash, and enjoy the scenery when you’re not on the water! **
If you plan on entering the water:
