Join Potomac Riverkeeper Network (PRKN) in their mission to support a Trash-Free Potomac!
They provide gloves, bags and grabbers/trash pickers.
You bring your enthusiasm for outdoor activities and good causes!
You are welcome to bring your kayak, boat, or paddle board. There is a $6 launch fee per vessel.
Boat rentals are available at Belle Haven Marina, but if you are not a paddler you still can reach the shore from the trail along the river.
**Due to protected shorebird nesting season, on the water capacity in the National Park land surrounding Belle Haven Marina is limited to 3 vessels at a time so we will be sending out paddling volunteers in shifts, but there will be plenty of opportunities along the trails throughout the marsh as well to do your part, pick up trash, and enjoy the scenery when you’re not on the water! **
If you plan on entering the water:
Complete the water safety waiver
Bring your vessel and plan to pay the $6 launch fee, or call Belle Haven Marina ahead of time to reserve your rental – (703) 768-0018. Sign their acknowledgment of risk form here.
Be prepared and dress up accordingly.
Bring an extra set of clothes and a towel in case you fall. Wetsuit advised if you have one.
Weather and tide forecast will be updated closer to the event.
Sign in starts at 9:00 am at the Marina. Parking is available at Belle Haven Park. The event wraps up at 11:30 AM.
