About This Event

A weekend of free outdoor music from D.C.-area artists and internationally renowned DJs.

Get ready for an early autumn weekend of incredible dance music in the District’s largest downtown green space: The popular 2021 Rock the Park DC music series, produced by the DowntownDC BID in partnership with curators Abby O’Neill and Adrian Loving, is returning to the beautiful Franklin Park as the two-day Rock the Park DC WKNDR festival.

Headlined by internationally renowned DJs Kenny Dope and DJ Jazzy Jeff, the free event will feature local performers and DJs from across the country. Attendees can expect to enjoy a combination of live music and DJ sets, and the sounds will cover a wide spectrum of musical genres including jazz, Go-Go, soul, R&B, reggae, hip-hop, electronic and soulful house music. There will also be a beer garden for the 21+ crowd, WKNDR-branded swag items, and more. This event will take place even if it rains. (Of course, we hope it does not!)

ROCK THE PARK DC LIBATION GARDEN

Working up a sweat with all that dancing? If you’re 21+, refresh yourself at the Rock the Park DC Libation Garden, which will be open both days from 4:00 PM until 9:30 PM. We’ll be serving up draughts of hard seltzers and cold beers (options below) from our friends at City-State Brewing, as well as limited-edition cans of the Franklin Park Sunny Daze pilsner.

  • Wards IPA
  • Big G’s Uptown Hard Mix
  • Big G’s Flavor From the Pocket Golden Ale
  • Equal Marriage Dark Wheat
  • Equal Marriage Blonde Wheat
  • Franklin Park Sunny Daze Pilsner

Individual drink tickets are $10; five-ticket bundles are $40. As a bonus, purchasers of ticket bundles will receive one Rock the Park DC–branded swag item at the event, either a t-shirt or a baseball cap (while supplies last). Please note: Only one swag item per purchaser, and you must be present to receive your hat or shirt.

You can purchase drink tickets during the event, but we highly recommend getting them in advance to save time. Pre-event sales end at midnight on Friday, October 7.

See you there!
