The Midnight Gardeners League, DC’s only comedy secret society, is premiering its newest show premise: a live event where funny folks do a set of stand-up, and then have to come up with a movie pitch based on their jokes.

And to raise the stakes, we’ll have one of Tinseltown’s most celebrated directors on hand to give the thumbs up or thumbs down on these aspiring auteurs.

Tickets are $10, and you get one of City-State Brewing Co.’s delicious craft beers free with the price of admission! You’ll have to bring your own popcorn though (which is really a better deal than the bar of gold it costs at a real movie theater).
