A special edition of the Capital Book Fest presents a Children’s Book Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can listen to live readings, buy books and enjoy activities about book-making and doll-making. Local award-winning authors who will attend include Fred Bowen, Sushmita Mazumdar, Caroline Brewer, Susan Stockdale, Joy Jones, Tricia Elam Walker and Karen Leggett Abouraya. Thousands of used books for all ages will be on sale for $6 or less.
