About This Event

Mood: A sophisticated dinner party. A chill in the air. Unusual ingredients. Pairings of unique wines. Intriguing stories of anatomy. Mad science. Surprises.

Welcome to our twist on Halloween for bon vivants. Guests will enjoy a seated dinner showcasing Michelin Star chef Marcelle Afram’s versatile use of unexpected ingredients. A decadent three-course meal will be paired with delicious wines and a discussion on the anatomy and physiology of the (animal) body parts being devoured, led by Dr. Jonathan Reisman. This adventurous (but not grotesque) experience will delight and intrigue.

Arrive on time to enjoy a special cocktail (half hour) and a first-bite before dinner commences.

About your hosts:

Marcelle Afram, Founder and Chef of Shababi, and previously Executive Chef of Michelin-starred restaurant Maydan, is partnering with traveling Physician and Author, Dr. Jonathan Reisman, for one unique night to explore the anatomy of fine dining.

Dr. Reisman has practiced medicine in some of the world’s most remote places, including Antarctica, the Russian and Alaskan Arctic, the Nepali Himalayas, rural Appalachia, Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, and the urban slums of Kolkata, India. In his free time, he puts on “Anatomy Dinners” with local chefs.

Please pay close attention to the dinner time you are purchasing! Before making your purchase, you must choose:

Dinner One: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (arrive up to 30 min early for a welcoming cocktail and first bite)

OR

Dinner Two: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM (arrive up to 30 min early for a welcoming cocktail and first bite)

*Doors will open at 5:30 PM for Dinner One, and 7:30 PM for Dinner Two. Your participation WILL be limited to the start and end times of your chosen Dinner.

Following dinner, there will be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Dr. Reisman’s book, “The Unseen Body,” as well as a chance to speak with both the Doctor and the Chef.

Ages 21 and over ONLY.
