Kara Walker: Back of Hand, in the de la Cruz Art Gallery, is the first showing in Washington D.C. of selected new works by this internationally renowned artist. The exhibit brings together a series of works on paper that examine themes such as complicity, racism, misremembered histories, and the violence that undergirds the legacy of the South.
