Urban Foraging
3000 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, District of Columbia 20001, US
About this event
It’s like a scavenger hunt for your mouth.
Join us at Bruce Monroe Community Garden (Metro: Columbia Heights), to learn (and snack) on some of the herbs and wild plants you’ll find tucked into some of the most obvious–and sometimes unusual–nooks and crannies in Washington, D.C. Led by urban forager, food writer and instructor April Thompson, we’ll discover in a small group how to collect, use and cook the edible plants right under your nose.
